Data Engineering Manager

As Data Engineering Manager, I am recruiting for a retail client of ours who is looking for someone to lead a team of Data Engineers on some key projects as the business continues to grow and develop their data capability. You will be joining a well-established Data function that is helping to drive the business forward.

What you'll be doing:

You'll be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Data Engineering team, ensuring they're delivering high quality data performance, architecture and leadership.

You'll will need to:

• Coach and develop the Data Engineering team mentoring the junior members.
• Lead a small team of Data Engineers on some key projects for the business.
• Manage the Data Engineering team from a technical perspective, still being very hands on with the technical work as well as team strategy.
• Establish and enforce best practice for data architecture, deployment and monitoring.

What you'll have:

You will be a successful Data Engineering Manager who has the following skills and experience:

• Leading and/ or managing a team of Data Engineers previously.
• Experience with Cloud Technologies (AWS or GCP preferred).
• Strong proficiency with Python/ SQL, Terraform
• Big Query or Snowflake experience, ideally exposure to DBT.

What is on offer:

A salary of up to £90,000 pa plus benefits, the business works on a hybrid basis with 2 days per week in the office.
