Overview:


The Senior Workplace Designer will be a key technical leader in the Infrastructure Design Team. This role is to provide group wide direction and technical planning for the group wide SOE and Productivity & SOE design and delivery for our Client Globally.


Mentoring other staff members and knowledge transfer into the different business units is an important part of this role.


The successful applicants will create a practice that provides technical design leadership, advice and support to the Technology Management Teams in relation to the Client Groups EUC/Productivity practices. The role will also draft and review standard operating procedures and other documentation to support the functions of the team and maintain an awareness of the overall health and performance of EUC/Productivity infrastructure through regular monitoring & reporting.



ITSM processes & practices must be adhered to, including Incident Management and Problem analysis management in relation to technical issues. The role will work closely with the EUC Support and Service Desk team to help with day to day service delivery quality



Key Accountabilities and Main Responsibilities:


  • Strategic Focus
  • Mentoring other staff and Technical knowledge transfer to other technology team members and into the business units as required.
  • Leadership in the Modern Workplace practice, including being an early adopter of change and opportunities to expand capabilities.
  • Document as built designs and all processes.
  • Create and maintain a global practice, ensuring a consistent user experience;
  • Enable a solution that works securely from anywhere at any time;
  • Uplift, drive and delivery the capabilities within our Microsoft & Office 365 environments;
  • Act as the primary technical point of escalation for Modern Workplace & EUC services across projects and managed service delivery;
  • Deliver solution designs and implementation direction in a fast-paced environment solutions and;
  • Build, maintain and manage cross functional relationships through critical Stakeholder Engagement.



Operational Management

  • Provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of varied scope and complexity;
  • Service Ownership for SOE development and standards globally;
  • You must have strong experience as an End User Computing (EUC) Engineer/Senior Engineer or Lead role;
  • Experience and experience designing/supporting O365 Productivity environments;
  • You have strong technical, management and deployment skills in Windows environments (including SOE, application packaging and GPO) as well as ideally, experience in MacOS environments;
  • You have strong skills in SCCM, Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Manager, Jamf, Office 365 and Active Directory, Azure AD, WinVD, Citrix Azure (Cloud) and PowerShell;
  • You have a working knowledge of Agile and Product Centric principles, product management, scheduling and a strong customer focus and;
  • Design and implement an environment where it does not matter whether you are using Windows or non-Windows desktops or devices - the user experience will be consistent across all of them.



Governance & Risk

  • Responsible for ensuring our Client are compliance and adhere to legal and regulatory requirements when it comes to, Privacy, Operational, Data Protection and Information Security risks;
  • Support our Client assurance programs that deliver effective risk management and compliance practice;
  • Ensure all server infrastructure complies with our Client security policies and;
  • Ensure audit and compliance are reviewed and complied with and take accountability for any associated corrective actions.



Experience and Personal Attributes:

  • A track record of delivering complex business technology solutions for internal/client organisations that have contributed directly to, or enabled, improved customer/ employee experience, profitability and responsiveness
  • A technically curious person, keen on creating innovative solutions that benefit our business users
  • Knowledge of Modern Workplace technology platforms and services - Microsoft 365 (Office 365, Windows 10 and Enterprise Mobility + Security), Azure and an appreciation of RPA, AI and ML (inclusive of the tech noted above)
  • An understanding of VDI technologies and Windows Virtual Desktop
  • Experience with delivering Modern business collaboration tools in the Office 365 suite - Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Planner, Groups, OKTA etc, including migration of on-premises and cloud content to these services
  • Experience with Microsoft Identity management with Azure AD - conditional access, MAM and Azure Information Protection
  • Experience with Endpoint Management Solutions (SCCM, Intune)
  • Experience with Security and Compliance across Microsoft 365 including Azure Information Protection, Advanced Threat Protection and Data Loss Prevention
  • An understanding of telephony solutions and products across Microsoft 365 including Teams
  • Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment delivering Microsoft Modern Workplace solution
