Associate Electrical Engineer

Urban Connect are currently working with the #1 ranked building design firm for the last 3 years consecutively. This business have been awarded a number of national frameworks in addition to high profile, local projects and are looking to recruit for an Associate Electrical Engineer as a result.

This role is going to be responsible for technical and project leadership on some of their exceptional projects within defence, public sector, healthcare and commercial and as a result will not have expectation on business development.

Joining a growing team currently sitting at 15 M&E Engineers, they will offer a strong platform for progression with opportunities to step into a Director role.

The Role:

As an Associate figure within the Leeds office, you will be working alongside the Director who brings 25+ years of Mechanical Design expertise. You will be tasked to oversee the production of leading Electrical Designs as well as supporting the team of Engineers and ultimately aiding the growth of the office.

Other duties include:

• Take an active role in pushing forward the skills and abilities of the electrical team members, including supervising junior engineers
• Lead building projects of various sizes, taking an active role in project leadership and client-facing activity on projects up to £600m.
• Take an active role in building services design elements for both small and major projects working closely with other team members
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients to establish their needs
