Role: Devops EngineerRate: £500 - 550 per day - 4 months Location: Leeds/Hybrid
Our client is looking for someone to be responsible for managing product updates, locating production errors and issues, and building integrations that improve users' experience. There will be a particular focus on re-factoring and improving the Test environment structure and deployment process.
What you will be doing
- Work with the Infrastructure and Development Teams to re-factor exiting Test environments.
- Guide teams in designing, building, testing, and deploying changes to existing software.
- Enhance the company's IT infrastructure security protocols.
- Identify manual processes that can be automated.
- Consider the organization's entire IT infrastructure when making changes and improvements.
- Maintain and improve the company's cloud infrastructure.
- Ensure observance of the rules and that organisation policy, integrity and statutory/regulatory requirements are complied with at the highest level of quality as part of project management delivery.
- To perform all duties in line with TPT RSL's Information Security policy.
- To comply with the Data Protection Policy when dealing with personal data in the course of employment including personal data relating to any employee, customer, client, supplier or agent of the Company.
What you will need
- Experience of VMware virtual environments and Tintri storage.
- Strong understanding of both development and operations processes.
- Excellent at creating the documentation of processes.
- Proficiency in computer coding, scripting, testing, and deployment.
- Excellent communication and management skills.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and automation tools ideally Octopus Deploy.
- Familiarity with networking protocols and tools.
- Good SQL skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Certifications in AWS, Azure, or other cloud platforms are a plus.
What you will get in ReturnYou will be working for a private sector client, on a 4 month contract earning between £500 - £550 per day inside IR35. You will work hybrid 2/3 days out of the Leeds office.
