Important:
- This is not a React development role. If you're wanting to focus your development in React then this probably isn't the right role for you.
- It is a requirement to be in the office at least 2 days a week in our Leeds office.
It's an exciting time at Numiko right now and we’re looking for a passionate Junior Frontend Developer to join our friendly team.
You’ll love using the latest web technologies and cutting edge browser features to create exciting, responsive and accessible front-ends. You’ll be excited about the prospect of working on large-scale, award-winning projects for the likes of Channel 4, The Eden Project, British Museum, The Children’s Society, University of London and more.
You’ll be joining a well-established team of frontend developers and working closely with both designers, backend developers, project managers, and stakeholders.
We’d love you to have:
- Expert delivery of HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- Familiarity with CSS frameworks & methodologies – we currently use Tailwind CSS
- Knowledge of templating languages such as Twig
- Experience with modern workflow tools such as Webpack or Vite
- Source control management with Git
- Ability to write clean, well-structured, reusable code
- Cross-browser development and accessibility skills
- A strong eye for design and detail
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with both the Design and Backend teams.
- Experience working within Drupal or similar
- Proficiency working with designs created in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator/Sketch/Figma/Invision
It’d be nice to have:
- Vue.js application development experience
- Good understanding of animation principles; exposure to animation libraries such as GSAP
- Experience with WebGL
