Our client, a specialist Alternative Education Provision in Leeds have a requirement for a Food Specialist Instructor/ Teacher to join their team. They are looking for an individual who can make a significant contribution to their school. They're looking for an innovative thinker who can support 10-17 year olds with a variety of Special Education Needs and Disabilities including SEMH, ASD, EBD and other complex needs.
The ideal candidate will need to :
- Relevant experience delivering Food Technology
- Be passionate and motivated to work across systemic barriers for the most vulnerable young people
- Have experience working with vulerable young people
- To provide a safe secure educational setting based on nurture principles
- Delivering GCSE and other accredited courses (desirable)
- Address gaps within learning associated with all areas of the national curriculum
- To assist colleagues to move towards addressing their own pupil needs.
- To provide relevant documentary evidence for all pupils
- To work within the wider service team to facilitate the provision of education to pupils
