Job Title: Data Analyst with NHS Trust Contract hours : 37.5/ weekWork Arrangement : RemoteDuration - 5 months with possibility to get permanent with the NHS Trust or extension with the Bank.Payrate - Band 6 ( £163.5/ day - £193.2/ dayExperience, qualification's role overview:About the role:This role requires an enthusiastic and motivated Analyst with an inquisitive and analytical mind. This is a busy office with competing demands - yet an environment which is seen regionally as essential for the delivery of such an important programme.As an established analyst, the post holder will work as part of a dynamic team in delivering an effective service supporting managers and staff across the East of England Seasonal (Covid-19) and other Vaccination programme to undertake data quality work.In particular, the post holder will: Support teams to ensure that the portfolio of tasks/projects is planned, managed, and delivered effectively. Support and inform the targeting of resources, monitoring spends, implementation and evaluation of the tasks/projects by providing high quality support including complex information and analysis, communications, and stakeholder management. Ensure accurate, open communication and co-ordination with a range of organisations and individuals, researching and drafting correspondence and papers and ensuring the management of specific tasks, lead reporting and analysis across a range of specialties, functions, and projects. Be a key member of the team as well as supporting effective communication and stakeholder management, both internally and externally. Training other members of the programme in the use of Foundry, including contour and the various datasets, as well as other analytical tools to increase their skill base and ensure resilience in the team. Fulfilling data and reporting requests, both ad-hoc and regular to both the region and relevant ICBs to ensure they have high quality and timely data on which to make decisions, therefore enabling users to effectively carry out their duties on the programme. This includes reports on Population insights, stock management, performance monitoring, and providing data to assist with planning. Streamlining reporting and analytics processes to ensure the best use of both human and computational resources. Maintaining knowledge on available datasets, their update schedule and data quality and to ensure the most suitable data is being used for each report. Maintaining awareness of information governance and data sharing restrictions to ensure data and reports are only shared with appropriate audiences, but also that those who are allowed to view it are able to have access to all the data they are entitled to view. Communicating and working with data pipeline engineers to meet data requirements and ensure data quality. Providing technical support to other regional team members on analytics tools, helping people gain access to database purposes and ensure the correct people have access to the regional purposes. Maintain records on reporting processes and lesson learned Attending meetings to explain/give context/answer questions on data, to maintain awareness on data/IG/engineering pipeline changes To maintain awareness of the wider programme, keep reports current, topical and useful. To obtain feedback on reports and dashboards to make constant improvements.Key Job Specifics & Responsibilities Develop excellent relationships and support effective communication between all relevant stakeholders both internal and external Undertake data quality work, monitoring and investigating information variances, working with internal teams and providers to actively pursue discrepancies and identify changes in data collection requirements to ensure that consistently high quality and compliant data is available and supplied in an understandable and usable format for analysis. Maximise the information held within existing data sets, including complex data management and manipulation exploiting their potential in turning information into knowledge. Gather, analyse and interpret complex information, including both quantitative and qualitative, from a wide range of sources taking account of confidentiality and the limitations of the data used. Support the development of new reporting mechanisms, particularly the use of electronic systems and automated reports for the management and provision of regular and routine management information. Ensure high quality information presentation is maintained through sharing knowledge and skills with colleagues, sharing best practices and demonstrate own governance through development of work based procedures/ processes. Ensure all processes are appropriately documented and stored in the designated shared drive. Effectively manage a number of projects simultaneously and prioritise workload appropriately. Keep abreast of related developments as part of ongoing continuous professional development. Provide relevant and timely specialist advice and guidance on functional and information matters. Work with members of the team and key stakeholder to investigate the causes of any variance from plan/delivery targets and contribute to the implementation of solutions. Support the development of internal and external communications where required by regular contact with the teams, stakeholders and Communications team. Responsible for preparation of correspondence and complex papers, as directed by Manager. To work collaboratively across the NHS England and NHS Improvement matrix, including integrating the National Director's portfolio.
