Senior/Principal Engineer

A National Multi-Disciplinary has opened a brand new office in Leeds City Centre as they look to expand across the North with the backing of an international consultancy. They are looking for a new Senior / Principal Engineer to join the new Associate Director in building a team with the support of the other two offices in the North.

You and the team in Leeds will be tasked with delivering a number of Rail infrastructure projects including Station Upgrades, Bridges, Platform Extensions etc with the bulk of work being part of the Trans Pennine Route Upgrade. There is also Temporary works projects on Hinkley Point and Remediation works with a major contractor.

This is a fantastic opportunity in Leeds to increase your exposure to detailed design, project management, client liaison and delivery and offers a clear progression route as second in command.

Senior / Principal Engineer Responsibilities

• Design of civil and structural schemes
• Experiences in design of Bridges or Temporary works is essential.
• Experiences in working with Network Rail will be an advantage.
• Review and checks of other schemes prepared by others
• Carrying out inspections and surveys of structures and preparing reports
• Undertaking feasibility / option studies
• Preparation of project programmes

Senior / Principal Engineer Requirements

• Relevant Civil/Structural Engineering degree BEng, MEng or MSc.
• Chartership Qualification would be beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence and own transport would be useful but not imperative
• Eligible to live and work in the UK and high standard of written English
