Job Overview

As a Senior Commercial Insolvency Administrator, you will play a pivotal role in managing corporate insolvency cases from start to finish. You will work closely with partners and directors to handle a diverse caseload, ensuring compliance with insolvency legislation and best practices. Key Responsibilities

  • Case Management: Independently manage a portfolio of corporate insolvency cases, including liquidations, administrations, and company voluntary arrangements (CVAs).
  • Investigations: Conduct investigations into directors' conduct and company affairs, including asset tracing and realisation.
  • Creditors and Debtors Management: Maintain regular communication with creditors, debtors, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all parties are informed and up-to-date.
  • Report Preparation: Draft statutory reports and other documentation, ensuring timely submissions in accordance with insolvency regulations.
  • Compliance: Ensure all cases are managed in compliance with insolvency legislation, regulatory standards, and the firm’s internal procedures.
  • Financial Reviews: Conduct financial assessments and reviews of companies in distress, offering practical solutions for recovery or closure.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and support junior staff, providing guidance and ensuring high standards of work across all case matters.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Attend meetings with clients, directors, creditors, and other stakeholders, representing the firm professionally at all times.
  • Business Development: Assist in the growth of the insolvency department by identifying potential business development opportunities and fostering relationships with referrers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential:
  • Significant experience (minimum 5 years) in managing corporate insolvency cases.
  • Strong technical knowledge of insolvency legislation and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously, prioritising effectively under pressure.
  • Competency in using insolvency software and financial reporting tools.
  • Desirable:
  • Relevant qualifications such as CPI (Certificate of Proficiency in Insolvency) or JIEB (Joint Insolvency Examination Board).
  • Previous experience working with clients across a range of industries, particularly SMEs.
  • Experience in managing or mentoring junior staff.
