Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client, a long standing, leading manufacturer in Leeds are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Design to join the business on a permanent basis due to continued growth. This recruitment drive is due to order books continually expanding and needing additional staff to manage the workload.

The successful candidates will be provide engineering design and support functions in relation to Hydraulic systems. This will include taking designs from BOM through packaging, manifold design and fabrication package.

Hours

Mon - Thurs (Apply online only) / Friday 08:30 - 1600

The Ideal candidate will be minimum HNC qualified in Engineering with a demonstrable background in design of Mechanical systems - Hydraulic systems experience is highly advantageous

Role Description

• Design & development of products, manifolds and unit assembly both existing & new, through to launch and through life
• Provide technical design support to engineering team, sales team and our customers
• Preparing reports to demonstrate technical progress on projects
• BOM creation
• Research & development to create design prototypes
• Resolve product development issues through creative testing and re-engineering
• Perform necessary technical calculations and testing to ensure functionality

Qualifications/ Skills

• Minimum HNC/ HND quailed in Mechanical engineering.
• Demonstrable experience working within a Mechanical Design role
• Expeirnce with Hydraulics is highly advantageous
• Experienced in use of Solidworks
