Our people are at the heart of our business and we’re recruiting for an experienced Sports Travel Consultant to join our Leeds based team. We are looking for a Sports Travel Consultant to respond to enquiries from key sports clients, using industry knowledge to give informative advice, group or individual quotes and options so clients receive the best possible service. You’ll be able to work flexibly, so can work from home on a hybrid basis (3 days in the Leeds office and 2 days working from home) once you have completed your probationary and training period. Travel expenses to the Leeds office would be at your own cost. This is an exceptionally exciting time to join us as we’re rapidly expanding our global operations.
What You’ll Do
- Handle enquiries and reservations from clients, ensuring that they are responded to according to the client company’s travel policy.
- Ensure all group air quotes are managed to the airlines processes and timelines.
- Process e-tickets and other required travel documentation in accordance with client profiles.
- Offer advice and options, where appropriate, for each itinerary, including the most cost-effective means of travel.
- Give clients accurate information about excess baggage, visa and passport requirements, health, and vaccinations. Ensure that visas are issued in time for travel.
- Carry out full research for each client to ensure that the best possible service is provided, and that each client can make a well-informed decision.
- Offer ancillary services to clients such as car hire, hotels, private car transfers, parking, baggage confirmations etc.
- Confirm all booking information – fares; group restrictions; itineraries; e-ticket details; changes – within specified deadlines.
- Build and update travellers’ profiles so that their needs and requirements can be met as accurately as possible (offline).
- Be familiar with special fares and ITX fares and be able to offer best possible fare savings for our clients.
- Ensure that the profile and booking systems are 100% accurate all the time.
- Check bookings on the Quality Queue to check for accuracy & alternative fare savings.
- Ensure that all group and individual tickets are issued within specified deadlines.
- Calculate and process refunds within 24 hours of a cancellation.
- Give training, advice, and support to new members of staff.
What We’re Looking For
- An experienced Sports Travel Consultant with business and group travel experience.
- BA1 or equivalent certification.
- Effective telephone and verbal reasoning skills.
- A candidate with strong customer service skills and ensure customer service comes first.
- You will have great attention to detail and be consistently accurate.
- Able to work to strict deadlines.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
