Perm role, £30k-£40k DOE

LEEDS

I am looking for an experienced Estimator to work for one of my Warehouse and Distribution clients based in Leeds. Reporting directly to the Sales & Customer Service Manager, you will have responsibility for the preparation, creation, and delivery to customers of all estimates and quotations associated with my client s production and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for pricing tenders, assessing/costing material and labour requirements, preparing programmes and direct enquiries in line with the client submittal dates.

Day to day duties within the role will include:

-Analyse project specs and blueprints to determine the scope of work and materials needed

-Collaborate with project managers to gather necessary information for accurate cost estimation

-Prepare and review all tender documentation, detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs

-Review and analyse historical data to make informed decisions on cost factors and pricing strategies

-Track and monitor project costs throughout the duration of the project

-Utilise Industry standard software for processing and estimating quotes and orders

-Analyse and Interpret Customer and Architect Drawings

-Quotation Development

-Supplier Liaison with both sub-contractors and suppliers

-Assess the level of risk on the project on high risk schemes

-Continue to develop the pricing schedule, continually develop and update the estimating procedures

Key skills needed for this role include:

-HND/BTEC level qualification within the Manufacturing/Engineering sector

-Industry experience and knowledge of Doors, kitchens and bathrooms would be beneficial

-Technical Skills and knowledge of available software is essential

-Strong ability to read and interpret tender drawings and specifications with

-Excellent attention to detail.

-Proactive, friendly and a flexible approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

-Ability to work independently

-Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and processes

-Proficient in using cost estimating software and tools

-Understanding of H&S safe working practices

-ERP/MRP understanding and knowledge

-Understanding of manufacturing and procurement supply chain
